Security & Data Protection Policy

Security

Xploite is hosted on the Microsoft Azure platform in the North Europe data centre.

SSL

Our servers have SSL Certificates signed by global leaders in certificates, so all data transferred between the users and the service is encrypted. The encryption is the same as that used for Internet banking.

2 Factor/Step Authentication

We support the Google Authenticator 2-step authentication system. This means that if you set this up it is impossible for someone to login to your account with only your email and password. Find out more about Google Authenticator .

Data Protection

At any one time, Windows Azure SQL Database keeps three replicas of data running, one primary replica and two secondary replicas. If the hardware fails on the primary replica, the Windows Azure SQL Database detects the failure and fails over to the secondary replica. In case of a physical loss of the replica, Windows Azure SQL Database creates a new replica automatically. Therefore, there are at least two physical transactionally consistent copies of your data in the data centre.

All documents uploaded to the system are Geo Redundant which means they are replicated in another data centre hundreds of miles away from the main data centre.

How is Xploite more secure than desktop software

With Xploite your data isn’t stored on your computer – if your computer crashes, or gets lost, or stolen, all your data remains completely safe and unaffected.

By allowing your staff to have secure access to your data within Xploite, it’s much more secure than sending paper copies or spreadsheets around.

Because we backup your data, you don’t need to. However, you may export your data at any time using the available export reports and these can be in CSV or Excel format so you can manipulate them however you see fit once downloaded.
